Artist Bio:

Susie Hall-Thompson is a Port Stephens-based artist whose practice explores the expressive possibilities of paper sculpture. A graduate of the University of Newcastle, where she studied Multimedia, Susie now works from her light-filled studio in George Road, Salamander Bay.

Deeply embedded in the local creative community, Susie is known not only for her striking three-dimensional works but also for her generous spirit and commitment to sharing her artistic knowledge with others. Her work celebrates texture, movement, and the often-overlooked beauty found in natural forms.

In Pretty Little Layers, Susie presents her collaborative piece Emen alongside four captivating "Squiggly Gum Bark" sculptures—each one a delicate tribute to the layered textures and rhythms of the Australian bush.
