Discover the creative possibilities of mixed media art in this engaging and inspiring workshop where you'll design and construct your own collaged wooden cube.
Using gelli-printed tissue papers and a variety of decorative papers, participants will begin by creating beautiful printed surfaces before learning how to collage and build layers onto all sides of a wooden cube. Through the process of layering colour, imagery, texture, and lettering, you'll transform a simple wooden form into an original three-dimensional artwork.
Participants are encouraged to explore a subject, theme, or colour palette of their choice, making each cube a unique personal expression. Additional surface textures and decorative elements can be incorporated to add depth, interest, and character to the finished piece.
All materials are included in the workshop fee; however, participants are welcome to bring along their own favourite papers, printed materials, or collage elements to incorporate into their artwork.
