About the event

Join local artist Cory Acorn for a relaxing and inspiring slow stitching workshop that celebrates creativity, mindfulness, and the beauty of working with fabric remnants.

In this unique 4-hour workshop, participants will learn how to create a simple fabric landscape artwork using a selection of reclaimed fabrics, textiles, and decorative embellishments. Inspired by natural scenery and personal memories, you'll explore colour, texture, and composition while transforming fabric scraps into a beautiful stitched landscape.

Cory will guide you through the process step-by-step in a small, personalised workshop setting, ensuring plenty of individual support and encouragement. No prior sewing or artistic experience is required—just a willingness to slow down, experiment, and enjoy the creative process.

A variety of fabric remnants, threads, haberdashery supplies, and backing fabrics will be provided, along with expert instruction and creative inspiration throughout the session. Participants are also welcome to bring along special fabrics or treasured textile pieces…
