A Quiet Celebration - This painting depicts a scene where a small celebration is taking place. Two people sharing a glass of bubbles and a delicious strawberry and cream cake! Each artwork is painted on a stretched canvas, float framed in solid Tasmanian Oak. measuring 30x30cm. 
 
 
Artist Statement
 
I paint what makes me happy and I hope it brings joy to others too! I choose objects in still life which have interesting patterns or shapes and I like to include shadow. My paintings are bold, sometimes bright and colourful. I draw inspiration from having been a primary school teacher for many years, watching children paint with confidence and a lack of inhibition. I am influenced by my environment and also enjoy painting birds and natural landscapes. I mainly paint in acrylic on canvas.
