Coastal Rhythm - Alexandra Twaddle

This seascape explores the movement and energy of the ocean through layered blues, rolling waves, and soft coastal light. The contrast between the textured water and calm horizon evokes the ever-changing nature of the Australian coastline. Inspired by time spent living by the sea, the work celebrates the colour, rhythm, and serenity of coastal environments. Each artwork is painted on a stretched canvas, float framed in solid Tasmanian Oak. measuring 30x30cm. 
 
Artist Statement 
 
I’m a landscape artist now based in Geelong, Victoria, after growing up along the south west coast. Living by the coast has greatly influenced my work, inspiring me to create vibrant paintings that capture the colour and beauty of the Australian landscape. Over the years, my practice has evolved, but my focus has remained centred on the rich tones, light, and atmosphere that our coastal surroundings have to offer.
