Four Birds, Jenny Wright

I have named this one Four birds, two of the feathered variety and one young lady on the base and one in the foreground. Each Artwork in this collection has been painted on a stretched canvas which is float framed in Solid Tasmanian Oak measuring 30x30cm.
 
Artist Statement - 
My name is Jenny Wright, I live and work on my family’s farm in Southern NSW. I am a self-taught artist and as long as I can remember I have loved painting and creating, even as a small child. My works are inspired by nature and the beauty that surrounds me on the farm. I am particularly drawn to our feathered friends and usually my work contains a quirky bird or two as I am a self confessed “Birdnerd”. My works are full of colour, some quirky and very textural. My garden is an endless source of inspiration with so many beautiful birds and flowers as subjects. I also enjoy creating Impasto Landscapes as the local countryside provides endless inspiration with rolling hills and big skies. I have worked in many mediums such as Acrylic, Watercolour and Pen but my favourite by far is Impasto, working with palette knives and my fingers allowing me to build layers in my works and I find it extremely therapeutic. Bringing my work to the public has been very exciting and a real adventure, my favourite pass time has become an escape from the everyday.
