Stilla, Stilll Life with Black Vase - Fiona Heard

Each artwork is painted on a stretched canvas, float framed in solid Tasmanian Oak. measuring 30x30cm. 
 
Artist Statement
 
Stilla and Limoo are about finding a balance between making a plan and just letting the paint happen. Both pieces started with traditional setups, the subdued colours and gentle shapes in Stilla and the brighter energy of lemons and blossoms in Limoo. I then introduced unpredictable splashes, drips, and accidental marks onto the canvas. These messy, imperfect moments carry the real narrative of the work.
