Artist Statement - 
 
I am a self taught artist who paints for the simple pleasure of it. I love painting in acrylics and paint whatever grabs me at the time - sometimes bright, bold colours in an abstract/contemporary style as in my 12” square entry which I painted after sitting in my family room at the time whilst putting my feet up on the sofa watching TV & making a sketch of it. (It wasn’t as cramped as the painting implies of course). I enjoying trying different things such as Gelli plate and sketching. To be honest I often don’t like what I paint but with acrylics I can just start over. It’s the relaxation and pleasure it gives me that’s the best!
