Artist Statement
Observing and painting Australian birds is my passion. The spirited and distinctive personalities of these birds continually inspire me. By observing their behaviour, whether foraging, resting, or interacting with their surroundings, I aim to ensure each painting is as true to life as possible. Direct eye contact often plays a key role in my paintings, which can foster a sense of connection between the viewer and the subject, encouraging appreciation and understanding of our precious wildlife.
