Artist Statement
My journey as an artist began later in life, although creativity has always quietly lived within me. For many years, making art was something I longed to do, and now I am finally giving myself permission to explore it fully and find my own voice. Before turning fully to visual art, I spent many years working as a flight attendant and actor. Both experiences exposed me to people, emotion, performance, and fleeting moments of connection, which continue to influence my creative practice today. Working through mixed media, paint, texture, and instinct, I create intuitively — allowing emotion, curiosity, and personal experience to guide the process. My work reflects both vulnerability and resilience, shaped in part by life experiences including breast cancer and a double mastectomy. Art has become a space of healing, rediscovery, and freedom. I am drawn to experimentation and imperfection, enjoying the process as much as the finished piece. Each artwork is part of an ongoing journey of growth, courage, and self-expression. Above all, I create because it brings me joy
