Artist Statement -
Kel Ward is a regional Australian artist based in Central NSW, Condobolin. Working from her cottage studio on the land that inspires her practice. Her paintings explore rural Australian life through intuitive, expressive mark making and a refined use of colour and texture. Working primarily in acrylic, she creates contemporary compositions that balance playfulness with quiet nostalgia. Shaped by personal experiences and her everyday farm life her work carries an emotional depth that resonates with audiences, offering a sense of familiarity, warmth, and connection to the Australian landscape and everyday life.
