Terms and Conditions for Entry – 'One Square Foot 2025' Art Exhibition

Eligibility and Entry:

Open to All Artists: This exhibition is open to artists of all backgrounds and styles, inviting you to showcase your creativity within a compact yet impactful one square foot format. All artistic expressions are welcome.
Entry Fee: A fee of $75 per piece is required for entry. Payment is due at the time of submission.
Entry Limit: This exhibition is limited to 125 entries. Entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Artwork Size: All submitted artworks must fit within a one square foot format (30.48 cm x 30.48 cm). This is the maximum size allowed for each entry.
Artwork for Sale: All artwork submitted must be available for sale during the exhibition. Artists must provide a sale price for each piece upon submission.

Artwork Presentation:

Canvas and Framing:
- Canvas: Each artist will receive a premium canvas, which will be stretched and finished with a professional quality custom float frame. This ensures a polished and gallery-ready presentation of your work.

Sales and Commission:

Sales Commission: Lion Studios will retain a 30% commission on all sales made during the exhibition. The commission will be deducted from the sale price.
Payment for Sold Works: Artists will receive payment for any sold artwork within 15 days of the exhibition's close, after the 30% commission has been deducted.

General Terms:

Liability: While Lion Studios will take every precaution to ensure the safety and security of your artwork during the exhibition, the gallery is not responsible for any damage, theft, or loss of artwork during the exhibition period.
Submission & Delivery: All artwork must be delivered to Lion Studios ready for display by the specified submission date. Late submissions may not be accepted. Artists must ensure that their artwork is appropriately packaged for delivery.
Promotion: By entering, artists grant Lion Studios permission to use images of their submitted artwork for promotional purposes, including online and print materials, to help promote the exhibition and the artists involved.
Exhibition Dates: The exhibition will run from 3rd June 2025 to 20th June 2025. Artwork must be available for display throughout the entire exhibition period.
Online Display: In addition to physical display in the gallery, selected artwork will also be showcased online for potential purchase, allowing wider visibility and connection with art enthusiasts and collectors.

Important Notes:

All submissions are subject to approval. Artwork must meet exhibition standards and adhere to the one square foot size requirement.
Artists are responsible for the condition and presentation of their artwork upon submission.

Entires by Mail:

We accept entries by mail please ensure that they are delivery before the closing date for entries 16/5/25. Unsold work will be returned to artists by mail or courier at the artists expense.
