Artist Bio:
Living in Nelson Bay, I find endless inspiration in the everyday beauty that surrounds me-from the shifting coastal light to the quiet magic of my own garden.
My artworks are created from collections of old and found treasures, thoughtfully placed to form gentle narratives within each piece.
Using all mediums, I hand-paint elements in acrylic and watercolour, layering them with tiny objects-each carrying its own history and charm. These works are both personal and nostalgic, often sparked by a single item that becomes the centre of a composition. It's a process rooted in memory, patience, and quiet discovery.
For many years, art has been at the heart of my life-both through my own practice and teaching classes here in the Bay. Sharing creativity with others has deepened my connection to this community and to the practice of making.
Whether in the studio or among the plants in my garden, I am always gathering ideas, colours, and textures that find their way into my work.
Each piece is a reflection of place, memory, and a love for the small, beautiful details that often go unnoticed.
