Artist Statement
Magenta Blooms celebrates the uplifting energy and emotional connection of flowers. Through loose brushstrokes and thick colours layered with a palette knife, I wanted to capture a sense of joy, movement, and abundance. Set against a summer blue background, on a navy tablecloth, the blossoms radiate vitality and simple joy, reflecting my fascination with nature’s ability to produce perfect colour contrasts. Influenced by my background in horticulture and my love of expressive contemporary florals, this work invites the viewer to pause and experience beauty in its simplest form.
